The Importance of Sanitation
Data from the Ministry of Health of Indonesia in 1997 showed the prevalence of primary school children of 60-80 percent, and in adults of 40-60 percent. Why worms problem in Indonesia is still high? This is because many reasons, including:- eradication of intestinal worms did not take place continuously.
- conducted individual.
- still a lot of misunderstanding in eradicating worms.
- Consuming food / drink contaminated (infected) by the worm eggs.
- not washing hands with soap before eating.
- Thumb sucking or putting fingers into mouth.
- not wearing footwear during activities in places contaminated by the dirty worm eggs.
