Health Education

Health education is an activity or business convey health messages to individuals, groups or communities. Where these activities consist of:
  • Input is the target of education, namely: individuals, groups, communities and educators (principals of education).
  • The process is a planned effort to influence others.
  • Output do what is expected or behavior.
Expected results of a health promotion is a health behavior or behavior to maintain and improve health.In 1972, hospital associations in the United States has issued "The Patient Bill of Rights", ie a rule which states that health education is a right of every client that makes health education is one of the implementation of functions and nursing profession and make it a responsibility that legal professionals in the field of nursing (Kozier et al, 1991).
